EMT closes Web Filter service

Alates 11.detsembrist 2007 sulgeb EMT teenuse Veebifilter seoses pidevalt kahanenud kasutusega.

"Andmesidekiirus on viimastel aastatel kordades kasvanud ning vajadus parandada surfamise kiirust veebilehtede kvaliteedi vähenemise abil on kahanenud minimaalseks," ütles EMT andmeside- ja sisuteenuste ärijuht Ando Meentalo. "Lisaks on drastiliselt kukkunud andmeside hinnad ning seetõttu eelistavad kliendid vaadata veebilehti nende originaalkvaliteedis."

Teenus Veebifilter loodi aastal 2001, mil mobiilse andmeside maksimaalne kiirus oli 53,4kbit/sek, praegu on see 3,5G levialas kun 3,6Mbit/sek.

Vabandame viimaste Veebifiltrit kasutama jäänud klientide ees teenuse sulgemise pärast!

As of December 11th, 2007, the Web Filter service will be closed by EMT due to constantly decreasing usage by customers.

“Speed of data transmission has increased rapidly during the past years and need to improve speed of surfing by lowering the quality of web pages has diminished”, said Ando Meentalo, Manager for Data Transmission and Content Services at EMT. “Moreover, data transmission cost has dropped drastically and therefore customers prefer to view the web sites in their original
quality”
.

Web Filter service was created in 2001 when maximum speed for mobile data transmission was 53.4kbit/sec and nowadays the speed reaches 3.6Mbit/sec in 3.5G network.

We apologize for any possible inconvenience caused to customers who still use the Web Filter service.
